Overview
Power without emissions or Noise
The Remoran 3GD can generate up to 300W at 12 knots allowing you to produce power as you sail without any emissions or noise
Generate Power When Other Solutions Can’t
Unlike solar panels the Remoran 3GD will produce power even when at night or when it’s cloudy. In addition, you can also generate power when sailing with the wind unlike a wind turbine
Freedom To Explore
The Remoran 3DG gives you the freedom to sail to any destination while you produce your own power for overnight stays
Telescopic design
The telescopic design enables easy storage and ensures a perfect fit
Adjustable Angle
Up to 40 degrees of adjustment allows for fitting to most transoms without any adapters
Ease of Use
Includes an easy to use lifting handle and locking mechanism
Simple Installation
Testimonials
“The Remoran Wave 3GS is a beautifully made piece of kit. It simply sits on the back of the boat and delivers power to our batteries mile after mile. It saw us happily from England to the Canaries, and we’re confident that it will keep us charged up all the way across the Atlantic. I’m thrilled to bits with the unit, and the installation. The support we got from Remoran and Advance Yacht Systems couldn’t be faulted. Installation went without a hitch, and the unit’s been completely reliable.”
— Mike Hutchinson - Remoran Wave 3
“Risks were significantly lowered due to not being dependent on the engine to charge batteries. Now we started the engine every five days just to make sure it still started. I wouldn’t go on a long open-seas leg without a hydrogenerator anymore, due to how steady and reliable charging it provides.”
— Tapio And Maria - Remoran Wave 3
Case Study
Mike Hutchinson has completed the ARC+ and is planning on taking part on the Oyster World Rally in his Oyster 53, “Distraction”. To minimise use of the engine and generator while underway, he installed a Remoran Wave 3GS from Advance Yacht Systems at the yacht’s home port of Falmouth.
As of 2024 Mike has completed 7,000 miles with his Remoran calling it ‘one of the simplest and most effective upgrades we’ve made’.

FAQs
-
The sailing speed reduction is roughly 0.1 knots during charging. This applies when the boat is moving at less than hull speed, and is dependent on many other factors such as boat size and speed.
Once hull speed is reached, the hydrogenerator's effect won't be noticeable. Also once the batteries are full or the generator cable has been disconnected the sailing speed reduction will be less than at full charging mode.
-
Yes, the hydrogenator can be kept in the water while motoring.
The charger will detect the higher voltage from the motor's generator, assuming they are connected to the same battery, and go into idle mode while motoring. The Remoran Wave 3 will resume charging once sailing continues.
-
No. The sturdy metal-on-metal construction can handle the stresses of backing up.
-
No. The Remoran Charger 300W is a smart charger and uses algorithms optimized for Lead-Acid (incl. AGM) or Lithium batteries. The charger algorithm ensures your batteries will be optimally charged without any adverse effects. Once the battery is full, the charger will go into idle or floating mode.
